Lila Lee Davidson

Mrs. Lila Lee Perry Davidson, 81, of Mt. Airy, passed away at Central Continuing Care Thursday, April 28, 2022.  She was born in Portsmouth, VA, June 20, 1940, to the late William Jackson Perry and Blanche Robbins Perry.  Mrs. Davidson enjoyed life, loved her family, and delighted in meeting people.  She loved to travel and was an avid reader.  She worked in a variety of offices during her early career as she and her family lived in different areas of Virginia and North Carolina.  Mrs. Davidson worked at multiple city government offices, the State Hospital in Butner and Jefferson Pilot Insurance, before starting a long-time career with H & R Block where she was an enrolled agent and certified tax preparer for over 30 years.  Mrs. Davidson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Rex Slate; and sons and daughters-in-law, Marty and Susan Davidson, and Andy and Carlena Davidson; grandchildren Carlee Davidson, Stephanie Welch and husband Jack, Chris Davidson and wife Liza; three great-grandchildren; her brother Billy Perry; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her husband Carl Davidson.  A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Pilot Mountain City Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Bledsoe officiating.  The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 2:30 PM until the time of the service.
