Mrs. Lillian Stephens Branch loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Sister departed this life for her Heavenly home on October 9, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Branch was born on August 22, 1918 in Stokes County to James Arthur and Cora Etta Hill Stephens. She was the widow of the late William Dillard Branch and was a member of Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Westfield, NC. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Novella Bell of Salisbury, NC, Mary Etta Moxley of Gloucester Pt. VA. and Linda and Tony Jackson of High Point, NC, and two sons and daughters-in-law J.W. and Joan Branch of Dobson, NC and Harold and Peggy Branch of Lewisville, NC ; one sister Alma S. Mitchell of Mt. Airy, NC; grandchildren and spouses Sonny and Robin Branch of Walnut Cove, NC, Dewayne and Beth Branch of Bradenton, Fl., Dean Branch of Dobson, NC, Jinda and Navid Ahdiea of Charlotte, NC, Allen and Lynn Wagoner of Germanton, NC, Laura and Kenneth Mathis of Farmington, NC, Karen and Ryan Matthews of Winston-Salem, NC. Donna and Brian Trexler of Salisbury, NC, Genia and Mark Gornick of Gloucester, Pt. VA., David and Kim Moxley of Gloucester Pt. VA., Stacy Hicks of Milwaukee, WI., Tonya Jackson of Godwin, NC, Alex Bell of Dallas TX., David and Tera Bell of Durham, NC. and 15 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and by 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Visitation will be at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 from 6 to 8 PM and other times at the home of J. W. and Joan Branch 422 S. Main Street Dobson. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home of Dobson on Thursday October 12, 2006 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Fisher River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Dobson, NC. Elder Willie Branch, Elder Joey Jenkins of Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church and Elder David Edwards of Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church will conduct the funeral service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane Suite 200 Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
