Lillian Inez Gunnell

Ms. Lillian Inez Gunnell, age 83, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Northern Hospital. Ms. Gunnell was born in Henry County, VA on May 10, 1933 to Roosevelt and Emma McCraw Gunnell. She was retired from A T & T after 25 years of service, was a member of East Side Baptist Church where she was faithful as long as her health permitted. Ms. Gunnell also was a dedicated volunteer at Northern Hospital for several years. Surviving are sisters, Anice Graham, Clem Lawrence, Fannie Weddle, and Bettie Leonard; a brother, Byron Gunnell; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00. A memorial service will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Twelve Oaks
