Lillian Hooker

         Mrs. Lillian Bullins Hooker, age 84 of Lawsonville, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She was born in Stokes County on September 9, 1934 to the late Deddie Carroll Bullins and Perlie Lawson Bullins.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hooker was preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Hooker; a son, Tommy Hooker; one brother, Donnie Bullins and two brothers-in-law, James Forister Hooker and Bobby Bullins. She attended Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Granny Lillian will be remembered as a happy, caring soul who loved to travel.  She cherished her family and especially loved being granny to her grandchildren.

         Mrs. Hooker is survived by her two sons and a daughters-in-law, Wade and Kelly Hooker of Critz and Ronnie and Darlene Hooker of Lawsonville; six grandchildren, Jeremy Hooker, Melissa Hooker, Tyler Hooker, Taylor Scearce, Benjamin Hooker and Nicholas Hooker; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Annie Bullins of Mayodan, Shirley and Wayne Pyrtle and Inez Hooker, all of Lawsonville; one brother, Davis and Sharon Bullins of Lawsonville; and several nieces and nephews.

         Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Allen Dawson officiating.  Burial will follow in Minnie’s Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Minnie’s Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Dot Overby, 1873 Salem Hwy., Stuart, VA  24171.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
