Lillian Irene Brinkley Joyce

Mrs. Lillian Irene Brinkley Joyce, age 97, of Pilot Mountain, NC passed away on Wednesday October 26, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy, NC.  She was born in Surry County on December 26, 1924, to the late Jesse Green Brinkley and the late Bertie Pell Brinkley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Joyce; son Bobby Rex Joyce;, sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosaella and Orville Taylor and Ethel Mae and John Mason; nephew Jesse David Bottoms  Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Hilda Joyce grandson, Barry Ray Joyce; step granddaughter, Ginger Puckett; three step great grandchildren and several step great great grandchildren; ,sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Gray Bottoms; her niece, Sheila Poindexter (Larry); niece, Sally Taylor; and nephew, Charles Mason (Barbara). Mrs. Joyce was a longtime member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Linda Anderson officiating in the cemetery of Pilot Mountain City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Joyce family.
