Lillie Mae Smith Belton

Mrs. Lillie Mae Smith Belton, age 81 of Stuart, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy, NC.  She was born in Lawsonville, NC on October 20, 1942, to the late William Brockley Smith and Ruby Mae Corns Smith.  Lillie was a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church.  She loved to cook and bake and loved to share with her friends and family.  She loved rescuing animals and spending time with her family and friends.

       Surviving is a daughter, Allison Belton of Winston-Salem, NC; one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Jaunita “Nita” Smith of Mayodan, NC; niece and nephew, Sherri Kallam and husband, Tracy, Bryan Smith; special furbaby, Codi; and special grand furbabies, Sophie and Layla.

       A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Peters Creek Baptist Church with Pastors Terry Ragsdale and Keith Vernon officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clover Cat Rescue, P.O.
