Mrs. Lina Ayers Crotts, 93, of Cana, VA, passed away Thursday morning, May 9, 2024, at Heritage Hall – Laurel Meadows in Laurel Fork, VA. Mrs. Crotts was born June 30, 1930, in Carroll County, VA, the daughter of the late William Norman Ayers and Elitha Elsie Ayers Kilgore. Lina retired from Spencer’s Inc. after many years of service and was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Freddie Guynn; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jesse and Linda Crotts, Charles and Alice Crotts, Bobby Crotts, and Michael and Donna Crotts; seven grandchildren, Kim Guynn, Jackie Crotts, T.J. Crotts, Jason Crotts, Jessica McCann, Jonathan Crotts, and Matthew Crotts; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crotts was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Crotts; a daughter, Pamela Crotts; a granddaughter, Amanda McMillian; five sisters, Lissie Ayers, Massie Guynn, Gracie Gwyn, Bertie McMillian, and Hallie Prillaman; and four brothers, Euell Ayers, Rufus Ayers, Mullen Ayers, and Jerry Ayers. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Andrew Willard and the Rev. Joe Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church.
