Linda Kaye Bowman

Ms. Linda Kaye Bowman age 51 of 1269 Peakview Road, Cana, VA passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born November 20, 1954 in Carroll County, VA to Freeman and Frieda B. Bowman. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Rocky Ford Christian Church. Surviving are her parents, Freeman and Frieda B. Bowman of the home; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Karen Bowman, Hillsville, VA; four nephews, Brock, Blake, Bronson and Brogan Bowman all of Hillsville, VA; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Ms. Bowman was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bowman and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bowman. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday at Rocky Ford Christian Church by Rev. Billy Moore and Rev. Wendell Horton with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy where her body will remain until time to be taken to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes before the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
