Linda Joan Browder

Mrs. Linda Joan Cockerham Browder, 68, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Surry County on July 18, 1952 to Ora Cockerham and to the late Nannie Matthews Cockerham.  Mrs. Browder was a loving homemaker, and a member of Faith Baptist Church who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  In addition to her father Mrs. Browder is survived by her husband of 52 years, Junior “Gray” Browder; niece, Heather “Sissie” Golding and Charles; a nephew, Matthew Cockerham; great niece and nephew, Courtney Ore and Devin Gammons.  In addition to her mother Mrs. Browder was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Cockerham, and a brother, Bruce Cockerham.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the church.  The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the love and care given to Linda during her illness.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
