Linda Sue Crocker

Mrs. Linda Sue Chilton Crocker, 71, of Pilot Mountain passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Surry  County on April 20, 1950, to the late John Coe and Hallie Flippin Chilton.  Mrs. Crocker was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.  She was a faithful member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.  She is survived by her husband, Bobby Crocker; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Ricky Wilcox, a son-in-law, Jimmy Lawson; grandchildren, Dwayne Lawson and Crystal, Amber Wilcox, Dillon Wilcox and Carissa, Bruce Lawson and Kristen, Dakota Wilcox and Sarah, Jimmy Lawson, Jr. and Kimberly, Austin Lawson; ten great grandchildren and one on the way; a special great grandchild, Hallie who loved and took care of her during her illness; a sister, Peggy Jo Moore; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crocker was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lynn Lawson; brothers, Richard Chilton, and Jim Chilton.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Chamblin, Jr. and the Rev. Jerry Purdue officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
