Linda Leigh McMillian Lovill Dean

Ms. Linda Leigh McMillian Lovill Dean, 72, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday morning, January 10, 2021, at Central Continuing Care.  Ms. Dean was born September 3, 1948, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Lee and Athelene McMillian Owens.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memory are two daughters and sons-in-law, Misty and Ricky Utt and Candy and Ricky Jones; two grandchildren, Joey Jones and his wife, Emily, and Courtney Jackson and her husband, Seth; a great-grandchild, Josie Jones; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Mike Edmonds, Arlene and Dickie Hull, and Wanda and Tony Snow; and the father of her children, Sandy Lovill.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Dean was preceded in death by a brother, J.C. McMillian; and her stepfather, Franklin Junior Owens.  A private graveside service will be held at Skyline Memory Gardens.  Due to COVID concerns, the family will have a celebration of life service at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC  27030; or the Activities Department at Central Continuing Care, 1287 Newsome Street, Mount Airy, NC  27030.
