Linda Faye (Hawks) Wilson

Ms. Linda Faye Hawks Wilson, age 77 of Winston-Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, due to medical complications.  Ms. Wilson was born on August 30, 1945, in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Clarence and Gladys King Hawks.  Linda was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her son, Kenneth Dale Wilson II.; three sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Hawks Allen and James “Jim”, Carol Hawks, Diane Hawks Barnett, brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Hawks, Dennis “Joe” Hawks, Terry Hawks and Gail; sister-in-law, Brenda Hawks; and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Hawks.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Friends and family will gather at the home of Terry and Gail Hawks, 400 Old Highway 89, Mount Airy.  In leu of flowers, donations may be made to Surry Animal Rescue or charity of Donor’s choice.  Moody Funeral Home has been entrusted to take care of services.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
