Linda Ann Welch Graham

Ms. Linda “Lyn” Ann Welch Graham, age 76 of Mount Airy, passed away on Monday afternoon March 24, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, with her loving family by her side. She was born December 12, 1948, in Surry County to the late George H. Welch, Jr. and the late Wanda Lee Simmons Welch. Ms. Graham graduated from Mount Airy Senior High in 1967 and attended Kings College in Charlotte, NC the following fall. After graduating from college, she worked at United Carolina Bank and retired as a branch manager. Afterwards, she spent many years in the apparel sales industry. In 2010, she returned to her hometown of Mount Airy to be closer to family, in which, she had an unwavering love for. Over the years she had several poodles she loved dearly. While in Charlotte, she had two little loves, best friends, Maxie and Little Man. After moving to Mount Airy, she adopted another poodle named Pauncey who was her best friend and companion. She loved all of her fur babies with all of her heart. Left to cherish her memory are her brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Jean Welch; niece, Elizabeth Lee Welch Mauldin and husband Mike; nephew, Brandon Phillip Welch, all of Mount Airy; great nephews, Josh and Christine Hall of King, Clay and Sydney Welch of Mount Airy, and Corbin and Hannah Welch of Charleston, SC; great-great-nieces, Nora Isabella Welch and Lyla Elizabeth Welch; stepson, Montie and Karen Graham of Little River, SC; and several other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Ms. Graham was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Athey and Nora Simmons; and her paternal grandparents, George, Sr. and Jessie Welch. A private family memorial graveside service will be held in the Indian Grove Community Cemetery. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
