Linda Mae Hepler

          Mrs. Linda Mae Holt Hepler, age 73 of Patrick Springs, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Patrick County on December 3, 1944, to the late Raymond Holt and Mary Lawson Holt.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hepler was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Eugene Hepler; a son, Gary Christopher Spencer; and two brothers, David Holt and William “Bill” Holt.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and enjoyed sewing and gardening. 

          Mrs. Hepler is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Darlene Spencer Collins (Robert) of Magnolia, Texas; a son, Timothy Gerald Spencer (Michelle) of Welcome, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Bryce Collins (Jennifer), Crystalynn Collins, Brooke Vacek (Garrett), Garrett Spencer and Amelia Spencer; five great-grandchildren, Mason, Blakely, Carter, Ella, and Lailynn; five brothers, Doug Holt (Judy) of Washington State, James “Jim” Holt (Linda) of Bakersfield, California, Glen Holt (Helen) of Patrick Springs, Dwight Holt of Stuart and Philip Holt (Debbie) of Bassett; a sister, Rita Holt of Stuart; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Brenda Smith and Tammy Campbell, both of Thomasville, North Carolina; and her beloved dog, Tilley Mae.

          A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Winston Puckett officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
