Linda (Pike) Stanley Hill

Ms. Linda Pike Stanley Hill, age 74 of Winston-Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, May 31, 2023, at her home in Winston-Salem, surrounded by her loving family.  Linda was born on February 12, 1949, to the late George Washington and Pearl Bonnie Childress Pike.  She graduated from Surry Central High School and then received her Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree (Registered Nurse) from Winston Salem State University.  Ms. Hill loved her Lord and Savior and was of the Baptist faith and a member of Albion Baptist Church in Westfield.  Linda cherished her two sons, Larry and Gary, who were the love of her life.  She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry William Stanley, Jr. and Tina, Gary Mitchell Stanley and Cindy; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye Pike Vestal and Lowell, Ruby Pike Tolbert and Carl, Sue Pike Bauguess, Glenda Pike Stanley; one brother, George “June” Pike.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Hill was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Pike White; and two brothers, Eugene Pike and Gayle Pike.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Reverend Randy Edwards officiating.  Interment will follow in the Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery in Dobson, North Carolina.  The family will receive friends on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM.  If Linda were here, she would want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Randy Peters and Dr. Holly Ivey for all the compassionate care they provided her with during her illness.  She would also like to thank the spiritual ones that helped her through the trials of life.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Copeland Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 169 Stony Knoll Road, Dobson, North Carolina 27017, Attn: Jack Holyfield.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
