Linda Sue (Bingman) Jones

Mrs. Linda Sue Bingman Jones, 68 of Mount Airy passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, surrounded by her loving family and friends.  Mrs. Jones was born on October 27, 1953, in Surry County to late Grady and Alice McHone Bingman.  Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Calvin R. Jones; one daughter and son-in-law, Susie Jones Cockerham and husband, Russell; one granddaughter, Maddie Olivia Cockerham; two sisters and brother-in-law, Hilda Bingman Watson and husband Garry, Brenda Marion; special friends, Jerry and Cathy Atkins, Effie Marion; along with several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Grant Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.  Moody Funeral Services of Mount Airy has been entrusted with Mrs. Jones arrangements.
