Linda Burcette King

Mrs. Linda Gertrude Burchette King, age 72 of Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at her home. Mrs. King was born in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Howard and Gladys Alley Burchette. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 55 years, Carl Samuel King; sons, Sammy King, Donnie King, Johnny King; grandson, Cory King; great-grandchildren, Montana King, Jackson King; sisters, Dianna Jones, Mildred Walker; brothers, Pete Burchette, Robert Burchette; special nephew, B.J Lineback. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by a son, Randy Lee King; two sisters, Carol Lineback, Deloris Cox; two brothers, Walter Burchette, and Duane Burchette. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Pastor Pete King officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
