Linda Smith

Ms. Linda Mae Sykes Smith, age 59, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. She was born in Montgomery County, Maryland of November 26, 1961, to the late James William Sykes and the late Myrtle Mae Easter Sykes.  She was a loving Mother and a proud Nana. She was a member of The Community Church.  Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law Anna and Bradley Roberts; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Shianne Smith; grandchildren, Gatlin Roberts, Eliah Smith, Aubree Smith, Rylen Bare, Samuel Smith; sisters, Ruth Ann Sykes, Mary Wood; brothers, Douglas Dean Sykes, James William “Jack” Sykes, Jr. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, May 27, 2021, at The Community Church, with Rev. Ray Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  There will be no formal services held at the funeral home.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Smith family.   Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
