Linda Lee Stevenson Martin

Mrs. Linda Lee Stevenson Martin, 62, of Virginia Beach, VA, formerly of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Sentera Virginia Beach General. She was the wife of Jerry M. Martin, retired Master Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy. She was born July 7, 1947, in Van Nuys, CA, to the late George Lee and Fay Eve Pannock Stevenson. She was a sports coordinator for the United States Navy and a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Alexander Michael Loomis was truly an inspiration to his great-grandmother during her battle with cancer. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, by Dr. David Sparks. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 8, 2009, from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
