Linda Ann Nichols

Mrs. Linda Ann Nichols, 70, of Mt. Airy passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Home Monday, June 4, 2018.  She was born in Guilford County April 4, 1948 to the late Floyd McKinley Ayers and Ossie Bell Gwyn Ayers.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Shirley Jean Whitaker; grandchildren, Amanda Dawn, Cheyenne, Kara and Tara; sister Ossie Mae King; brothers, Mitchell Ayers, and Junior Whitaker.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Woodrow Nichols, Jr.; a daughter, Margaret Ann Hawks Shores; and a brother, Michael Ayers.  The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for the wonderful care and a special thanks to Amanda Lawson for the extra love and care shown to Mrs. Nichols during her illness.  There are no formal services planned.
