Linda Louise Simpson

Mrs. Linda Louise Crow Simpson, age 71, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mrs. Simpson was born in Kinston, NC on February 19, 1947, to the late Leland Carroll and Marion Louise Cook Crow.  She was a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church, loved the outdoors, was an avid crossword puzzle solver and especially loved her church and her church family.  Surviving is her husband, Junior Simpson; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and David Noonkester; grandchildren, Kristopher Kizer, and Nicole Kelems; step grandchildren, Johnathan Noonkester, and Jamie Noonkester; great grandchildren, Mason Kizer, Savannah Kelems, and Blake Kelems; step great grandchildren, Brandon Noonkester, Jamie Lee Noonkester, and Tyler Noonkester; a sister, Cecelia Pruett; nieces and nephews, Melissa Huffman, and Scarlett Mooney, Greg Pruett, and Steve Pruett; sister-in-law, Jane Martin and husband Larry; and a brother-in-law, Jeff Simpson.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Grant Atkins.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 137 Antioch Ave., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
