Linda Sue Yonts Smith

Mrs. Linda Sue Yonts Smith, 59, of 120 East Side Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Friday morning, February 5, 2016, at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Smith was born March 17, 1956, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Thomas Tate and Dallas Blair. Linda retired from Walmart and was a member of the Christian faith. She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Smith of the home; two sons, Thomas Yonts of the home and Timothy Tate of Cool Ridge, WV; six sisters and three brothers-in-law, Zenia Robertson of Cool Ridge, WV, Helen and Richard Campbell of Hamtramck, MI, Dallas June and Thomas Eads of Tennessee, Margaret and Julius Lowery of Warren, MI, and Cheryl Yonts and Wilma Yonts, both of Michigan; a brother, Chester Yonts of Hamtramck, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a sister, Delilah Yonts. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 8, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Ricky Easter officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
