Mrs Linda Kay Webb Worrell of Carolina Lakes, Harnett County NC passed away at her home on October 30th 2022, after a long battle with small cell lung cancer. A true warrior we were told by the oncologist she may not survive the first treatment, then given a timeline of 90 days then she gave it a fight for 21 months. Mrs Worrell was born February 4th 1953 to Lena Spence Webb and the late Kyle Webb. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband Cecil "Rusty" Worrell Jr. of the home. One son and daughter in law Dwayne and Courtney Hamm, of Kingsport Tn. One daughter Missy Moles of Willis Va. Daughter in law Celina Moles, of Floyd County Va. 15 Grandchildren, Jesse Hamm, Kelsey Bowling, Kimberly Hamm, Peggy Hamm, Cynthia Hamm, Ashden Hamm, Cody Moles, Austin Moles, Tyler Moles, Sam Moles, Britney Bowles, Hope Alderman, Hunter Alderman, Jazmyne Alderman, 11 great grandchildren, Lexi, Maverick, Aiden, Tanner, Axel, Rylee, Hudson, Brooklyn, Nova, Issac, Lydian, 2 sisters Faye Curtis and Lisa Lawson, 2 brothers James Webb, and Steve Webb , an aunt Sue Stanley and an uncle J.D. Spence,(Linda), Mother in law Phyllis Rutherford, Sister in law Penny Bondurant and her husband Robert, Special friends Rev. Rick and Chrissy Daughenbaugh, Her B.F.F. Karen Hylton and husband Jerry, Special Neighbors and friends, Jason and Amy Mcloud, Jerry and Lisa Goss, Amber Goss, Nick and Tianna Coffey, Mitch and Connie McNare, Dear friend and special nurse Fretia Flinchum, and a host of extended family and friends, her deer, squirrels, raccoons, and other backyard animal friends that knew and trusted her. In addition to her father, she was proceeded in death by a daughter Amanda Moles and a son Michael Moles, Father-in-law Cecil Worrell, Sister in law Leigh Quesinberry, her beloved chug dog fur baby Coco and many friends and relatives who in her final days she spoke of being with again soon. As per her request there will be no viewing or wake. She requested everyone have a happy thought and remember her with a smile. A memorial service will be held at the C.B. Webb Cemetery on Friday November 4, 2022 at 12 P.M., with services conducted by the Rev. Rick Daughenbaugh, and spirital leader Jason Mcloud. Her quote, "tell everyone not to buy flowers for my grave as I will no longer need them instead buy a flower for your home or yard and enjoy its beauty".
Her husband would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Daniel R. Barnes whose honesty, knowledge, integrity, and genuine concern for both of us throughout this whole sickness was a blessing. Also to Nurse Fretia Flinchum who went above and beyond to show care and concern and helped brighten the darkest of days. And to his co workers at MSHA who have been most understanding. And finally to everyone who prayed for Kay. The family would like to thank all the staff at Community Home Care & Hospice for making Kay comfortable at home during her last days on earth and at the beginning of her eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
