Lisa Anne Chappell Goad

Mrs. Lisa Anne Chappell Goad, 40, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Lisa was born September 8, 1968, in Surry County, to Sonny and Peggy Chappell. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and daughter and was loved by all who knew her. Lisa was a devoted charter member of Wards Gap Church, where she served as church treasurer. She also loved singing in her church and many other special occasions. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Bobby Dean Goad of the home; a daughter, Bridgett LeAnne Goad of the home; a son, Bobby Dillan Goad of the home; her parents, Sonny and Peggy Thomas Chappell of Cana, VA; her mother-in-law, Madie Magdalene Goad of Mount Airy; a special aunt, Linda Thomas; and several aunts and uncles. Mrs. Goad was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Mabel Thomas and William Cecil and Joyce Chappell; and an uncle, Darrell Steven Chappell. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Wards Gap Church, 2709 Epworth Road, Cana, VA. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Linda Thomas, Dr. Jerry Whitlow, and the Rev. James Quesinberry, and burial will follow in the Mt. Bethel Moravian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
