Lisa Kathleen Robertson Scales

Ms. Lisa Kathleen Robertson Scales, 53, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at her home.  Ms. Scales was born March 5, 1969, in Surry County, one of eight children born to Patsy Jean Branson Robertson and the late Marvin Ray Robertson, Sr.  Lisa worked as a housekeeper at a local motel for several years and was a member of Granite City Church.  She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Ashley Robertson and Marc Dillon of Ararat, VA, and Brittany Scales of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Angie Scales of Ararat, VA; nine grandchildren, Chloe, Skylar, Dylan, Tyler, Rylee, Marc B., Daniel, Brody, and Dixie; her mother, Patsy Jean Branson Robertson of Mount Airy; a sister, Rita Williams of Mount Airy; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Mitchell and Paula Robertson, Darrell Robertson, and Brandon Robertson, all of Mount Airy, Mark and Rose Robertson of Landon, and Kenneth Robertson of Winston-Salem; six nieces; three nephews; and a special friend, Earl Hill.  In addition to her father, Ms. Scales was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Ray Robertson, Jr.  The funeral service will be held Monday, January 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Emmett Crotts and Mark Robertson officiating.  Burial will follow in The Peoples Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lisa Kathleen Robertson Scales Memorial Fund, c/o Mitchell Robertson, 221 Summer Lane, Mount Airy, NC  27030.
