Lloyd Andrew Bell, Jr.

Mr. Lloyd Andrew “Buddy” Bell, Jr., 94, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 15, 2022, at Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community.  Mr. Bell was born May 26, 1928, in Mecklenburg County, one of four children born to the late Lloyd Andrew and Addelene Powers Bell.  Buddy served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a proud graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and retired as a salesman from Beaman Inc.  He is survived by his wife, Anne Platt Beasley Bell of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Brett Munn of Lewisville and Amy and Bill Buehler of Cary; two sons and daughters-in-law, L. Andrew Bell, III and Janie Bell of Lake Lure and Christopher and Beth Bell of Buchanan, GA; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert B. and Anne Bell of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bell was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Bell Crowley and Elinor Bell Carson.  No formal visitation or memorial service will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
