Lloyd Franklin Cox, Jr

Mr. Lloyd Franklin Cox, Jr., 54, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Cox was born November 29, 1954, in Forsyth County, to Loyd Franklin Cox, Sr. and Margaret Nichols Cox. He was last employed with Perry Manufacturer Company in Mount Airy. Surviving are two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lewis Cox and Sam and Sandra Cox, all of Mount Airy; a stepson, Chase Weathers of Mount Airy; six nieces and nephews, Tonya D. Alderman of Tobaccoville, Nick Cox, Josh Cox, Christopher Cox, and Tamela Cox, all of Mount Airy, and Jessica Richardson of Patrick Springs, VA; several special friends, Susanne Porter of Rock Hill SC, Larry Carman of Winston-Salem, Bill McHone of Mount Airy, and David Hewitt of Florence, SC; and a host of fishing buddies. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 1:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with the Rev. Barry Loupe officiating.
