Lloyd Arwood Montgomery

Mr. Lloyd Arwood Montgomery, age 81 passed away January 11, 2008 at Lexington Health Care in Lexington NC. He was born in Carroll County VA July 31, 1926 to the late Corbett L. and Stacy Mae Daniel Montgomery. He is survived by two aunts, Faith Hawks and Bonnie Thomas both of Mt. Airy; two nieces, Kathy Poole and husband James of Mt. Airy, Carolyn James and husband, Harold of Winston Salem; two nephews, Lee Spencer and wife Donna of Lexington, Larry Spencer and wife, Barbara of Lambsburg; 10 great nieces and nephews; 20 great-great nieces and nephews and seven very special great great great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Montgomery was preceded in death by a sister, Mallie Montgomery Spencer. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy by Rev. Donald Bell. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lambsburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Moody Funeral Home.
