Lois Muriel Carter

Mrs. Lois Muriel Marshall Carter, age 86, of Mount Airy, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living in Mount Airy.  She was born November 1, 1932 to the late Harvey and Nancy Ann Easter Marshall.  She was a member of Mount Airy Wesleyan Church and was a loving mother and grandmother who will dearly missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are a daughter, Mary Ann Carter; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Tina Carter, grandchildren, Douglas Carter, Christina Hall, Ashley and Jenifer Pardue and Laura and Seth Greene; great grandchildren, Kole Carter and Preston Hicks; sister Virginia Rakes; brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Betty Marshall; several nieces and nephews.   In addition to her parents Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by brothers Harry Truman “T-Man” Marshall, Nelson Marshall and Chester Marshall.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with services conducted by Rev. Richard Lowman. Burial will follow in the Marshall Family Cemetery in Laurel Fork VA.  The Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy and at other times at the home of her sister Virginia Rakes.  The Family would also like to thank the staff of Twelve Oaks Assisted Living and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for their excellent care during Mrs. Carter’s illness.
