Lois Martin

Mrs. Lois Jenkins Martin, age 80, of Dobson, NC passed away on Monday morning, December 10, 2018, at Central Continuing Care, in Mt. Airy, NC.  She was born in Surry County on March 23, 1938 to the late Hazel Archie Jenkins and the late Margie Ennis Luffman Jenkins.  She was a member of East Elkin Full Gospel Church.  Surviving is her husband Carl Alton “Joe” Martin, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Everette Lawson of Mt. Airy, Kathy Aileen and Philip Mayes of Yadkinville; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Vivian Martin of Pilot Mountain; twelve grandchildren, Jessica and Jerry Goins, Justin Martin, Katrina and Monty Wolfe, Alisha and Rodney Johnson, Dianne Sierro, Christiana Lawson, Nicole and Nick Simmons, Matthew Lawson, Lydia Mayes, Tara Mayes, Melissa Jenkins and Tiffany Jenkins; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Gary and Elizabeth Jenkins, Tommy Jenkins.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at East Elkin Full Gospel Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. Jerry Childress and Rev. Terry Coe will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at East Elkin Full Gospel Church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy NC 27030.
