Mrs. Lola Loraine Henry Logan, 85, of 773 Logan Bluff, Hillsville, VA, passed away Friday morning, February 10, 2012, at her home. She was born June 22, 1926, in Cleveland, MS, to the late William Robert Henry, Sr. and Ollie Ann Pender Henry. Mrs. Logan was a 1949 graduate of Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL. She was a homemaker, a Bible teacher, an art teacher, and a talented artist and seamstress. She is survived by her husband, Herman O. Logan, Sr. of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, William Benjamin Logan, Sr. and Kathy of Hillsville, VA, Herman O. Logan, Jr. and Karen of Hillsville, VA, and John Wesley and Susan Logan of Gypsum, CO; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren expected; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Becky Tynes and Tommy of Brookhaven, MS, Trudy Wand of Brookhaven, MS, and Luann Jordan and Kerman of Meredian, MS; and a sister-in-law, Doris Henry of Tennessee. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Logan was preceded in death by a brother, William Robert Henry, Jr. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 13, 2012, at Logan Family Cemetery, conducted by Herman O. Logan, Sr. and Herman O. Logan Jr. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2012, after 3:00 PM at the Logan homeplace. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Suite 999, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
