Lola Sechrist

Mrs. Lola Marie Moore Sechrist, 79, of Lowgap passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  Mrs. Sechrist was born in Surry County on June 14, 1941 to the late Willie and Gertrude Clounch Moore.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.  Mrs. Sechrist retired from Brintles Truck Stop.  She is survived by a daughter, Debby Anderson; sons, Joseph ”Greg” Sechrist, Freddie Sechrist, David Sechrist, and Terry Sechrist; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way; a sister, Lorene McHone; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sechrist was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Maryland Sechrist; daughters-in-law, Mildred Sechrist, Tonya Sechrist; a son-in-law, Darrell Anderson; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Raymond Hodges; a half-sister, Virginia Rhodes; a brother, Edgar Moore; a half-brother, Rubert Moore.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Cockerham and Elder Arwood Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 Am at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
