Mr. Lonnie Charles Belton Age 91 of 1062 Pond Rd. Ararat, VA., husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Irene Belton passed away Wednesday October 11, 2006 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mt. Airy. Mr. Belton was born September 26, 1915 in Surry County to the late Ed and Sally Holt Belton, he was retired from Hanes Apparel Co. in Winston Salem and attended Mount Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are his wife Elizabeth Irene Belton of the home, One step son and spouse, David and JoAnna Clement of Patrick Springs, VA., Two step grandchildren Daniel Clement and Alex Clement. In addition to his parents Mr. Belton was preceded in death by a sister Kate Willard and by two brothers Howard Belton and Alex Belton. A graveside service will be held Friday October 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Clement Family Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Ricky Rogers. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. The Belton family is being served by Moody Funeral Services in Mt. Airy, NC.
