Lonnie Ray Easter

Mr. Lonnie Ray Easter, 74, of Cana, VA passed away Monday, June 10, at Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born in Carroll County, VA July 24, 1944 to the late Isaac and Ida Marie Gwyn Easter.  Mr. Easter was a kind, gentle man, and a talented carpenter.  He was a faithful member of Westview Baptist Church, always showing his unwavering dedication to his Lord and Savior.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Ludena Helen Atkins Easter; sons and daughter-in-law, Dale and Wendy Easter, Bruce and Melina Easter; grandchildren, Christopher Easter and wife, Sabrina, Robert Easter and wife, Brandi, Brandon Easter, Brett Easter, and Cassie Easter; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Abigail, Kloe, Isabel, Adalynne, Isaac, C.J., Kynsly; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Danny Boyd and Kathy and Craig Easter; and a brother, Bobby Easter.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Easter was preceded in death by his daughter, Marlena Rigney, sisters, Etta Farris, Ella Hawks and Gloria Meadows; and brothers, Dennis and Marlie “Gene” Easter.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the family cemetery on Fieldstone Rd. in Cana with Rev.
