Lonza Coy Hatcher

Mr. Lonza Coy Hatcher, age 75 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at his home on Friday, October 5, 2018.  He was born in Patrick County on August 30, 1943, to the late Laton Coy Hatcher and Bera Harbour Hatcher.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Loretta Fain.  Mr. Hatcher faithfully served his country in the U.S. Airforce and the National Guard.  He was a lifelong member of Ross Harbour United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hatcher is survived by two brothers, James “Jimmy” Lee Hatcher (Lessie) of Martinsville and Herbert Rodney Hatcher of Collinsville; three sisters, Barbara Payne Kaufman (Ira) of Bassett, Etta Mae Perry (Pete) of Stuart, and Betty Karen Browne (Fred) of Clawson, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services of Mr. Hatcher will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Ross Harbour United Methodist Church with Pastor David Gaylor officiating.  Military rites provided by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial to be held at a later date.
