Loraine Hudson

God called his precious angel, Loraine Hudson, home on Monday, May 10, 2021.  She was the example of a true Christian.  She lived out her Christian testimony to her last day. She was always sharing laughter and love with everyone she came in contact with.  She demonstrated joy, love and peace through the mountain tops and valleys of life.  Loraine will be greatly missed by her family and friends.   Loraine was born in Surry County to the late Lewis Ernest Hutchens and late Annie Pearl Collins Hutchens.  Loraine was proceeded in death by her husband William Henry Hudson; sisters, Lillian Hutchens Clapp, Faye Hutchens Southern; brothers, Kelly Hutchens, Richard Hutchens, and Odell Hutchens.  Loraine was retired from Perry Mfg of Dobson, NC, after 31 years of service, and was a member of Central View Missionary Baptist Church, Dobson, NC.    Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Janice Hudson Tickle, Marcy Hudson Easter and husband Timothy Easter; Granddaughter, LeAnn Wright Everhart and husband Mike Everhart; Great Grandson, Cole Pike; brother, Frank Hutchens and wife Helen Hutchens; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday May 12, 2021, at Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, private burial will follow in the cemetery of Central View Missionary Baptist Church.  Dr. Rick Jackson will conduct the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of her service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the WMU of Central View Missionary Baptist Church, 1055 White Dirt Road, Dobson, NC 27017, Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 201 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC, or Northern Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, 830 Rockford St. Mt. Airy, NC 27030 ATT: Skilled Nursing.    The family would like to acknowledge friends that were very special to their mother, Loraine.  Mickey Wright, Glenn Clark, Francis Billings, and Misty Gentry.  The family would also like to thank the staff of Northern Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing and Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for the love and care they provided.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Hudson family. Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
