Loraine B. McGrady

Mrs. Loraine B. McGrady, 89, of Fancy Gap, VA, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010, at her home. Mrs. McGrady was born July 4, 1921, in Carroll County, VA, daughter of the late Samuel Madison and Lula Edna Williams Bowman. She was a homemaker and a member of Skyview Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Perkins and Lula McGrady, both of Fancy Gap, VA, and Bonnie and Darrell Dickerson of Hillsville, VA; a granddaughter, Tina Mitchell of Hillsville, VA; a grandson and his wife, Teddy and Devonne Dickerson of Hillsville, VA; and a great-grandchild, Logan Dickerson of Hillsville, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGrady was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ellis McGrady; a grandson, Curtis Dale Perkins; four sisters, Ollie Bowman Vass, Nora Bowman, Sarah Boggs, and Nina Hill; and five brothers, Burton Bowman, Jeff Bowman, Samuel Bowman, John Bowman, and Cecil Bowman. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at 5:00 PM at Skyview Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wendell Horton and the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb-Skyview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at Skyview Missionary Baptist Church.
