Lottie Ruth Davis Griffith

Ms. Lottie Ruth Davis Griffith, 66, of Mount Airy passed away Friday evening at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was born in Surry County on March 3, 1950 to the late Carl Junior Davis and Hattie Hiatt Davis Johnson. She was retired from Aunt Bea’s Restaurant and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Griffith is survived by her two sons, Carl Rodney Lee Hickson, Jr. and Eric James Hickson; grandchildren, Ashlie Nicole Rogers and Dylan Walker Hickson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Sloan, Brenda Moore, Linda Jarrell and Johnny, Ruby Brooks, Sylvia Smith and Roger, and Betty Dudley; a brother, Lewis Junior Davis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Griffith was preceded in death by her daughter, Ramona Lynn Rogers; a sister, Patricia Davis; a brother, Billy Gray Davis; and a sister-in-law, Tamara Davis; and a friend, Donnie Felts. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 1, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bob Phipps officiating with burial to follow at Skyline Memory Garden. The family will receive friends on Tuesday night February 28, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
