Mrs. Lottie Cundiff Belton Wyatt, 85, of Mount Airy, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Golden Living Nursing Center in Martinsville, VA. Mrs. Wyatt was born January 2, 1925, in Surry County, to Elighe P. and Martha Emma Chappell Cundiff. She retired from Spencer's Inc. and was a member of Fancy Gap Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and four sons-in-law, Cynthia Montgomery of Bassett VA, Phyllis and Jim Rammell of Houston, TX, Dee and Pete Foley of Stuart, VA, and Luke Mitchell of Union Hall, VA; a son, Jayson Belton of Mount Airy; a stepson, Mike Wyatt of Galax, VA; eleven grandchildren, Pamela Shrake, Ronald Montgomery, Janet Hawks, Sophia Rammell, Alexandra Rammell, Tyler Foley, Cleve Foley, Janna Foley Jones, Emma Belton, Zachary Burris, and Chelsey Conney; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wyatt was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Wyatt; a daughter, Charlotte Mitchell; four sisters, Irene Hall, Ethel Jones, Lovie Hodges, and Mary Lou Belton; a brother, Julius Cundiff; and a son-in-law, Elwood Montgomery. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Fancy Gap Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwight Sechrist officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, and other times at the home, 149 Alexandria Lane, Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Fancy Gap Baptist Church, 1161 West Lebanon Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
