Lou Parries Cole

Mrs. Lou Parries Cole, 78, of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Universal Healthcare in King. Mrs. Cole was born in Surry County, June 9, 1929, to John Allen and Eliza Jane Belton Parries. She was a homemaker and a member of Flippen Memorial Church. Surviving are a daughter, Judy C. Hilliard of Kernersville; a grandson, Christopher Hilliard and wife, Shonda, of Trinity; great-grandchildren, Casey Nicole Hilliard, Lacey Paige Hilliard, Tyler Keith Hilliard, and Robert Cole Hilliard; sisters, Virginia Massey of Mt. Airy, Ruby Goins of High Point, and Ruth Thacker and husband, Robert, of Stuart, FL; brother and sister-in-law, B.G. and Nettie Parries of Mt. Airy; and a brother-in-law, Bobby Cole of Ararat, VA. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband, James Moorefield Cole; her parents, John Allen and Eliza Jane Belton Parries; sisters, Evelyn York, Ada McBride, and Sally Glidewell; and brothers, Dennis Parries, Joe Bill Parries, and Jack Parries. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2008, at Oakdale Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Tim Burton.
