Louella Shelton

Mrs. Louella J Bowman Shelton, age 98, of Westfield passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Joan and Howards Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born on April 16, 1923 to the late Odie and Rosie Lawson Bowman.  Left to cherish her memories are daughters and son-in-law, Irene and Allen Lewis, Marilyn Irvin, Joann Marshall; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Gail Shelton; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Shelton; daughters, Shirley Willard, Mary Ann Tate, sons, Leroy Shelton and John Henry Shelton; sisters, Bertie Roberts, Hazel Hicks, Maggie Hensley; brothers, Walter and Frank Bowman.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Word of God Baptist Church with services conducted by Brother J.K. Faries and Rev. Ricky Rogers. Burial will follow in Asbury Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
