Louise Bowman

Mrs. Louise Bowman, age 91 of Spencer, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Patrick County to the late Addie William Bowman and Sarah Etta Beasley Bowman.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Coleman; a granddaughter, Ashley Coleman; two sisters, Pauline Holt, Frances Bowman; and two brothers, Wayne and Claude Bowman.  Louise was a member of Mayo Mountain Baptist Church.  She had worked for several years at Bassett-Walker.  She was a wonderful cook and had worked at Pop’s, Owl Diner, Country Diner, Virginian, 58 Grill, Tex Bar B Q, and Old Country Store.  She loved to talk and would’ve made a fantastic greeter at Walmart.

          Surviving is her loving husband, Ronnie Bowman of the home; two daughters, Hope Keckler-Whitlow and husband, Robert of Woolwine, Jeannine Stallings of Stokesdale, NC; two grandchildren, Gretchen Walker and husband, Patrick, Melissa Salyer; two great grandchildren, Sharla and Blake Salyer; one son-in-law, Harold Coleman of Spencer; two sisters-in-law, Faye Bowman of Patrick Springs, Rhonda Hyatt of Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Mayo Mountain Baptist Church with Pastor David Heath officiating.  Burial will follow in Fair Haven Memorial Park in Spencer.  The family will receive friends Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 12:00 to 5:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louise Bowman Memorial Fund, P.O.
