Louise McHone Brown

Mrs. Louise McHone Brown, 86, of 1518 Flippin Road, Lowgap, passed away Tuesday morning, December 13, 2011, at her home. Mrs. Brown was born January 1, 1925, in Surry County, one of sixteen children born to the late Marion and Stella Hall McHone. Louise retired from Cross Creek Apparel and was a member of Central View Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Randall G. Brown of Mount Airy; a granddaughter, Bethany Ann Brown of Mount Airy; a grandson, Nicholas Drew Brown of Mount Airy; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Joe G. Brown; a son, Joey G. Brown; a daughter-in-law, Robin Ann Beasley Brown; twin grandsons, Jason Gray Brown and Justin Brandon Brown; two infant siblings; five sisters, Geneva Spencer, Mary Johnson, Mamie Key, Sadie Moore, and Elizabeth Johnson; and eight brothers, Roby McHone, Ward McHone, Howard McHone, Luther McHone, Maynard McHone, Lewis McHone, Eldridge McHone, and Shelby McHone. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Chris Cave officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
