Ms. Louise Tilley Hayden, 82, of 110 McCreary Park Lane, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday morning, November 7, 2013, at her home. Ms. Hayden was born July 3, 1931, in Surry County, one of five children born to the late Ralph Abercrombie and Sarah Agnes Reynolds Tilley. Louise retired as a quality control associate from Cross Creek Apparel after many years of service and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Dianne and Johnny Willey of Lowgap and Barbara Jean Tate of Mount Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Joanie Hayden of Mount Airy and Earl and Crystal Hayden of Westfield; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Norma Tilley Francis of Mount Airy, Marilyn Tilley Hill of Clemmons, and Pauline Tilley Chilton of Westfield; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hayden was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Ray Hayden; a son-in-law, Jack Ray Tate; a great-granddaughter, Jasmine Hayden; and a brother, Weldon Tilley. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Mark A. Reece, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
