Louise Brooks Thomas

Mrs. Louise Brooks Thomas of Pilot Mtn. passed away at the home of her daughter Wednesday, June 6, 2007. Mrs. Thomas was born in Surry County to the late Calvin and Katherine Tickle Brooks. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendly Chapel Church. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara T. Clark of Pilot Mtn.; a son and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Joyce Thomas of State Road NC; grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and Bill Lilly, Greg and Lou Ann Thomas, Karen and David Tucker, Jay and Annette Burchette, Tim and Tracie Clark, Matthew Trent Clark and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, William Jefferson Thomas; a grandson, Todd Clark; son-in-law, Max E. Clark; two sisters, Pearl Beasley and Stella Shinault; and a brother, Rob Brooks. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 8, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Don Collins with burial to follow in the Pilot City Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
