Louvenia Dye

Mrs. Louvenia Annis Grimes Dye, 71, of Cana, VA passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in Surry County on April 23, 1950, to the late Austin and Rena Smith Grimes.  Mrs. Dye was a loving homemaker who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Gail and Thomas Bowman; grandchildren, Brandi Dye, Jennifer Dye; great grandchildren, Madison Bevins, Colton Bevins, Alyssa Carpenter and Braleigh Bevins; sisters, Clara Golding, and Peggy Grimes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cleve and Ethel Grimes, Bruce Grimes, Dwight and Libby Grimes; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dye was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dye; a sister, Eula Martin; a brother, Olen Grimes; a sister-in-law, June Grimes.  A funeral service will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Cockerham officiating.  Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
