Mrs. Lucille Snow Dockery, 92, of 1088 Romie Snow Road, Dobson, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Dockery was born April 9, 1917, in Surry County, to the late Andrew Jerome and Metta Banner Snow. She was a vital part of her husband's business, Dockery and Associates, until her retirement in 1989. She was active in the Copeland Extension Homemakers and Level Cross United Methodist Church until failing health prevented her involvement. She is survived by a son, Jerry Dockery of Kure Beach; a stepson, Charles Crofford Dockery of Lakeland FL; a grandson, Charles Andrew Dockery of Dobson; a brother, Donald Ray Snow of Dobson; five nephews, Carl Snow, Jr. of Carolina Beach, Claude Snow, Jr. of Chapel Hill, Andy Snow of East Bend, Adrian Snow of Winston-Salem and Mark Snow of Clemmons; and four nieces, Mary Marshall of Pinnacle, Elizabeth Calhoun of Ararat, Jeanette Snow of Greensboro, and Linda Snow of Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dockery was preceded in death by her husband, D. Albert Dockery; three sons, Jeffrey Dockery, Kenneth Dockery, and Richard "Dick" Dockery; a daughter, Cynthia Lou Dockery; a sister, Mary Magdalene Snow; and seven brothers, Claude Snow, Carl Snow, Johnny Snow, Roy Snow, Jack Snow, Paul Stanley, and Rufus Stanley. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009, at 4:00 PM at Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Ricky Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
