Lucille Phillips

Mrs. Lucille Shinault Phillips, age 70, of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Northern Hospital.  Mrs. Phillips was born in Carroll County on January 4, 1948, to the late Claude and Lucy Mae Senter Shinault.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Among the many who will forever cherish her memory is her husband, Glenwood Phillips; her daughter and son-in-law, Melaina P. and Michael Sands; her grandchildren, Keisha A. Wood and husband, Jacob, and Charity Atkins; great grandchildren, Skylee Jurney, Hallie Wood, Lakota Wood, and Rowen Jurney; a sister, Betty Sue Johnson, a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Paulette Shinault; and a special nephew, Rev. Larry Johnson.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Johnson.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Firehouse Ministries by Rev. Larry Johnson.
