Lucille Perdue Rogers

Mrs. Lucille Perdue Rogers, age 81 of Ridgeway, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Rocky Mount on August 26, 1940, to the late Edward Perdue and Gladys Ferguson Perdue.  Lucille had retired from DuPont and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

         Surviving is her husband of 41 years, Stan L. Rogers of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Tony Johnson of Conway, SC; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Donna Muse of Beaver Dam; one stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Murphy of Martinsville; six grandchildren, Alexandrea “Ali” Johnson, Ben Muse, Ashley Muse, Madison Moore, Tanner Hall, Rylee Moore; one brother and sister-in-law, Byron and Gloria Perdue of Rocky Mount; and a special friend, Scott Murphy of Critz.

         A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Peters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Doug Ramsey officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 18075 A.L. Philpott Hwy, Ridgeway, VA 24148.  The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers, Mary Lee, Mamie, Milessa, Patsy, Lisa, and Sheila for all the special care that they gave to Lucille.
