Lucy Lee Wilson Beck

Mrs. Lucy Lee Wilson Beck, 90, of 542 Allred Mill Road, Mount Airy, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009, at Golden Living Nursing Center in Hendersonville. Mrs. Beck was born May 16, 1919, in Surry County, to the late Harvey and Annie Gwyn Wilson. She was a homemaker and a member of Laurel Bluff Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Louise Wilson Payne of Mount Airy; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Annie Mae Scott of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Beck; two sisters, Ruby Gravely and Minnie Moncus; and two brothers, Wade Wilson and J.C. Wilson. A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Whitaker Chapel Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Joey Lane officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
